Parish Registers are an invaluable source of information for the Genealogist; these can be rather difficult for the layperson to read and understand. A Parish Register contains information of christenings, marriages and burials pre 1837 which allows genealogists to delve further back than Civil Registration allows and can give insights into a family’s early history. Other useful documents are Wills, Rentals, and Deeds there are, of course many other documents which may need transcribing.
