Before I begin my research for you I will need the following information as a minimum:-

What you would like me to research.

Details of what you already know about your family, including names, dates of birth, marriage and death, places your ancestors might have lived, and any family stories you may have been told that might be helpful.

Details of any research already carried out.

 
I will then confirm with you the details of the research you wish me to undertake.  Please note the research undertaken is based upon the information you give me and I cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies in the initial information, or any results based upon these inaccuracies.
Please be aware that there is no guarantee that information will be found. Some records may be missing or they may have been destroyed. In addition, it may not be possible to identify an  individual with certainty. Where research is unsuccessful I will provide details about research that has been carried out. Even if I do not find anything I still have to charge for the time spent on the research.

Our Payment Policy
I will undertake work once agreed with you. Please allow 3-5 weeks for completion. Once the research has been completed, I will invoice you for the total owed. On receipt of payment I will either email or post the research results (as appropriate).

My preferred method of payment is by direct bank transfer. You can do this via Internet or telephone banking, or in person at your local branch. This is the quickest, simplest, cheapest and most secure method of payment.

I do, however, accept all of the following methods of payment:

Directly into my account (from your bank by telephone or internet transfer) – the bank details will be detailed on the invoice you receive

Payment with a credit card via PayPal (the address for payment is??????). Note: an extra 5% is charged on all PayPal payments to cover fees.

Cheque made payable to ‘Janet’s Ancestry Research’ and sent to the address on the invoice.

Postal Order

Please note Janet’s Ancestry Research retain the right to withhold documents until full payment has been received.
